Recently there has been a huge increase in Lush
videos on YouTube. These are some of my favorites, circa May 2008. I hesitated to put any YouTube videos on this site,
because they often have poor picture quality and/or audio
sync problems, and they're often deleted resulting in broken links.
Still, the videos on this page do give you a small sense of what
Lush was like performing live, and what the band members were like
in interviews.
If any of these clips are no longer available, please
let me know and I'll find a replacement.
TIPS: Be sure to click (twice) on the play button in the
middle of each video - if you click anywhere else on the video, it
will open a new browser window. If a video is playing, pause it
before starting another video.
If you find these clips interesting, I
strongly urge you to check out
Neil's Lush Video Page. Neil has created three
Lush
Video Compilation
DVDs full of many more rare interviews, performances, promo videos and
much more, all in better quality than these YouTube videos.
Check out his website to learn how you can obtain his
compilation videos, which every Lush fan should have.
Emma has said this is her favorite Lush video, and it truly
is beautiful. Its the favorite of most Lush fans I know.
This is the second De-Luxe video they made, done for the US market.
The first version (their very first video) is completely different and nowhere near
as good in my opinion.
Nothing Natural From Spooky
1992
Miki and Emma strongly disliked this video because they felt
it glamorized them. Nevertheless, I personally feel it
is a beautiful work of art.
This and the De-Luxe video above are
by far my two favorite Lush videos.
For Love
From Spooky
1992
This is one of my all-time
favorite Lush songs, and the video is very good.
Hypocrite From Split
1994
Very interesting visually, especially the fun house
mirror distortions, done without any fancy special effects.
And Miki is looking particularly beautiful with her red pig-tails.
500
(Shake Baby Shake) From Lovelife
1996
This video is a fun little mini-movie which tells a complete
story. Notice the way Miki and Chris look at each other
toward the end.
A second version was done, for
the US market, but its nowhere near as good as this one in
my opinion.
Single Girl
From Lovelife
1996
Ladykillers
From Lovelife
1996
Not one of my personal favorite songs, but it is one of
their most popular so here it is.
Undertow
Spooky Remix
From the Hypocrite EP
(CD and 12" only)
1994
Undertow is my
personal all-time favorite Lush song. This 9 minute remix,
while very different from the original, is hauntingly
beautiful.

footage in this video....
From the
documentary ''John Peel's Record Box" which
was released on Nov 14, 2005 on Chanel 4, on the 1st anniversary of his
death. Miki talks about Spencer and The
Cannibals, one of the bands covered in the documentary.
There's a lot of debate about when this
was filmed, my guess is circa 2003.
This was posted on YouTube by Andy of the
VMPE Music Blog, and he deserves much thanks!
